Wore these straight out of the box for a full day of errands and my feet never complained. The suede collar is genuinely soft around the ankle, no break-in rubbing at all.
The water-resistant nubuck handled a muddy trail walk way better than I expected, and the suede collar kept my ankles comfortable the whole time. Took maybe two days to break in, then they felt like old favorites.
Wore these straight out of the box for a weekend trip and the water resistant nubuck held up fine in wet grass. The suede collar is soft right at the ankle, no break-in rubbing at all.
