Wore these straight out of the box for a full day at the beach and forgot I had them on — the lightweight sole really does disappear under your feet. The kapa outsole gripped wet rocks without a slip, which I didn't expect from something this low-profile.
The waterproof leather strap actually held up when I got caught in the rain walking back from the store, no squeaking or stiffness after. They're so light I forget I'm wearing them, and the low profile looks clean with shorts or jeans.
Wore these straight through a beach trip and the waterproof leather strap never once got soggy or stiff. The kapa outsole grips wet boardwalk tiles better than any sandal I've owned.
