The grip on loose gravel is honestly what sold me—I stopped slipping on descents almost immediately. Fit felt dialed in right out of the box too, no break-in period.
Swapped my old road shoes for these on a rocky ridge run and the extra grip made the descents feel way less sketchy. The fit is snug without squeezing my toes, which I didn't expect from a trail shoe.
Took these on a muddy, rooty loop last weekend and the grip just held on the wet rocks without me thinking about it. The fit locked in nicely too, no sliding around on the descents.
