My kid has worn this sweatshirt through two months of recess and it still looks new, no pilling at all on the cotton terry. The abrasion-resistant fabric really holds up to all the sliding and climbing.

The terry cotton is thicker than I expected and has held up through two months of my son wearing it to school and the playground. Washed it a dozen times already and no pilling or shrinking, which never happens with his other sweatshirts.

Washed it maybe six times now and the cotton terry hasn't pilled or stretched out at the cuffs. Only thing is it shrank a bit on the first hot wash, so size up if you're between.
