Bought this for my daughter's first camping trip and the full brim actually kept the sun off her whole face and neck. The strap comes off when she wants it gone, which she does about five times a day. Washed it after a muddy weekend and it dried looking brand new.

The removable chin strap is the best part—my daughter actually keeps it on during windy beach days instead of tossing it in the sand. The full brim gives her good shade, and I like that the nylon is made from recycled fishing nets.

Bought this for my kid's summer camp and the removable chin strap is handy, but the brim is stiffer than I expected so it doesn't fold into a bag easily. The recycled nylon fabric seems sturdy at least.
