Wore this on a windy ridge hike last weekend and the quarter zip let me vent heat fast without taking it off. The fleece is midweight enough that I didn't need a shell, and it packs down small in my daypack.

Wore this on a breezy morning hike and the midweight fleece kept me warm without overheating once I got moving. The quarter zip is handy for venting, and it layers fine under a shell.

The midweight fleece is warmer than I expected for how thin it feels, and the quarter zip makes it easy to vent when I warm up on a walk. Wish the pockets were a bit deeper, but otherwise it's become my default layer.
