Wore this on a windy hike last weekend and the rib knit blocked the chill way better than my old thin beanie. It's soft right out of the box with no itch, and it stayed put without squeezing my head.

The rib knit is thick enough that my ears stayed covered without the hat sliding up, which is usually my problem. Walked the dog in it on a 35-degree morning and forgot I had it on.

The rib knit is exactly what I hoped for—soft but substantial, and it hugs my head without feeling too tight. Wore it for a chilly morning walk and my ears stayed toasty the whole time, which is saying a lot since I usually freeze fast.
