Took these out for a 6-mile loop that ended with a gravel stretch, and they handled the pavement-to-trail switch without feeling clunky at all. The midsole stays springy even late in the run, which I wasn't expecting from a hybrid shoe.
The FF BLAST MAX midsole honestly surprised me, it stays springy even on mile eight when my legs usually start dragging. Wore them for a mixed week of road runs and a couple of easy dirt paths, and they handled both without feeling clunky.
