The nylon zig zag holds my anchor line tight even when the kayak's bouncing in chop, no slipping at all. Took about five minutes to screw down and it hasn't budged since.
The zig zag pattern actually grips the rope way better than the straight cleat I had before, no slipping even with my anchor line soaked. Mounted it on the front deck of my canoe in about ten minutes and it's stayed solid.
Mounted the large 3-1/2 inch cleat on my kayak deck for the anchor line and it holds tight without slipping. Only gripe is the screws were a bit short for the thicker deck, so I swapped them out. Solid otherwise.
