My daughter flipped it to the fleece side on a cold morning and refused to switch back, it's that cozy. The HEATSEEKER insulation really does keep her warm on the walk to school without the bulk of her old coat.
My daughter flips it to the fleece side for school and the water-repellent shell has kept her dry through two slushy walks home already. The HEATSEEKER insulation is warm enough that she stopped complaining about the cold on the walk to the bus.
Water-repellent side held up great in wet slush on the walk to school. Only gripe is the hood feels a bit thin when the wind picks up. Warm enough for recess, though.
