My son wore this in a sleet storm and stayed bone dry, then flipped it inside out the next day for a totally different look. The lightweight fill is warm without the bulky marshmallow feel, so he can still actually move around and play.
The water-repellent finish on both sides is a lifesaver for my kid, who somehow finds every puddle on the walk to school. It's lightweight enough that he doesn't overheat running around, but still keeps him warm on chilly mornings.
My son flipped it inside out on the first day just because he could, and honestly both sides look sharp. It's held up through two snowy recesses without soaking through, and the hood actually stays up when he runs.
