Wore this on a chilly morning hike and it kept me warm without overheating once I started moving. The lofty inner fleece feels soft against my skin, and the hood actually stays put in the wind.
The grid fleece really does breathe well — I ran errands in it all morning and never got clammy. Only thing is the hood feels a bit thin compared to the rest of the fabric, but for layering under a shell it's fine.
