Wore these straight from a morning run into a muddy trail loop and never once felt like I needed to swap shoes. The grip held up on wet roots, and they're light enough that my feet didn't feel trashed by the end.

Took these on a muddy 6-mile trail and the grip held up fine on wet roots, which I wasn't expecting from something this light. Only gripe is the laces run a bit short, but otherwise they've become my go-to for both quick hikes and the gym.

The all-around athletic hiker idea is nice, but these feel more like a gym shoe than a trail shoe. Grip was fine on dry dirt, though I wouldn't trust the cushioning on anything rocky.
