The front pockets actually fit my lure boxes, and there's a spot to clip my pliers so they're not rattling around loose. Wore it for six hours straight in the kayak and barely noticed it was on.
The front pockets are actually usable for a small tackle box and pliers, which I didn't expect from a fishing vest. Only gripe is the back foam rides a little high when seated in my kayak, but it's fine once I'm paddling.
The flotation is solid and the adjustable shoulder straps cinched down nicely over my rain shell. Only nitpick is the front pockets sit a bit high for me, but they still hold a small tackle box fine.
