Wore these on a muddy, root-covered ridge trail and the 3D chassis kept my ankles from rolling on the sidehill sections. They're heavier than my old pair but the stability more than makes up for it.
The GORE-TEX lining actually kept my feet dry through two hours of slush and creek crossings, which I honestly didn't expect from a shoe this breathable. The 3D stability plate really shines on rocky descents too.
Wore these straight out of the box on a wet, rocky ridge trail and the GORE-TEX kept my feet bone dry through two stream crossings. The 3D chassis really does lock your heel in on loose descents.
