Stepping in took a few tries before I figured out the SmartWrap ratchet, but once it clicked the boots felt snug without pinching. The cable adjustment is quicker than my old buckle boots, though I wish the liner had a bit more padding at the shin.
The SmartWrap cable system makes getting these on way easier than my old buckle boots, and I can fine-tune the fit with one hand. They're a touch stiff for the first few runs, but after a day they softened up nicely.
The boots are warm and the ratchet adjustment is handy once you're in them, but getting my wide feet past that wrap system takes real effort every morning. Fine for a casual skier, though I wouldn't want to wrestle them on in a cold parking lot daily.
