Wore this fleece solo on a chilly hike and it kept me perfectly warm without feeling bulky. The recycled material is surprisingly soft, and it packs down small enough to stuff in my daypack.
The half-zip is what sold me — easy to throw on over a tee in the morning and vent when I warm up on the trail. It's lightweight enough to stuff in my pack but still keeps the chill off. The recycled fleece feels nicer than I expected for the price.
The recycled fleece is genuinely soft and light enough to wear over just a tee on chilly mornings. Only gripe is the half-zip sits a little high for my taste, but it layers well under my jacket so I've kept wearing it.
