The Duragrid fabric actually breathes way better than I expected on a hot afternoon. Wore them straight from a day hike to dinner and they didn't look out of place at all.
Wore these on a week-long hiking trip and the Duragrid fabric held up great through brush and rocks without snagging. They dry fast after a stream crossing and still look decent enough for dinner in town.
The ripstop fabric feels sturdy enough for hiking, but the fit runs a bit boxy through the thighs and the waist sits higher than I'd like. Decent everyday pants, just not the comfortable all-day wear I was hoping for.
