The quarter height is what sold me — no more grit sneaking into my socks on gravel paths. The light cushioning under the heel hits just right without making my running shoes feel tight.

Wore these on a ten-mile trail run and the quarter height actually kept grit out of my ankles. Only gripe is they run a touch snug around the arch, but the light cushioning made the descents feel fine.

The cushioning is right where I need it under the heel and ball, but the quarter height still lets grit slip in around the ankle on dry trails. Fine for road runs, just not as protective as I hoped.
