Wore these on a rocky six-mile loop and my feet felt supported the whole way, which I didn't expect from a low-cut shoe. The lower profile still gives you the same support as a full hiker without the ankle bulk.
I usually hate low-cut hikers because they feel flimsy, but these have the same support as a mid boot without the ankle bulk. The waterproof build kept my feet dry crossing a shallow creek and they broke in after just one weekend.
Wore these on a rocky 8-mile trail right out of the box and had zero blisters. The low cut gives me the ankle freedom I wanted while the support underfoot still feels like a serious hiker.
