Wore this vest on a chilly hike and the gridback fleece inside kept me warm without overheating once I got moving. The exterior really does shrug off light rain, and it's soft enough that I keep it on around the house afterward.
The fleece interior is genuinely soft and the grid pattern on the outside looks sharp, but the fit runs boxier than I'd like through the waist. It's fine for kicking around the house, just not as trim as I hoped for layering.
