Wore this alone on a 20-degree morning and stayed warm the whole walk to work. It's not bulky at all, which I didn't expect from something built for frigid days.
Threw a shell over this when the snow started dumping and it layered perfectly without feeling bulky. Warm enough on its own for cold city days too, so it's basically replaced two jackets in my closet.
Wore this solo on a 20-degree day and stayed warm, and it layers fine under a shell when the snow picks up. Only gripe is the hood feels a bit bulky when it's down. Solid city-or-slopes jacket for the price.
