My 7-year-old wore this vest every day on our windy beach trip and never once complained about the cold. The water-resistant shell shrugged off a light drizzle, and I like that the whole thing is recycled except the zipper.
Wasn't expecting the recycled fill to actually block wind this well, but my son wore it over a hoodie on a blustery playground day and stayed toasty. The diamond quilting looks sharp too, and it's held up fine through a few washes.
