Wore these straight out of the box on a muddy 10-mile loop and the GTX membrane kept my feet completely dry through every puddle. The toe cap took a few rock strikes without a scratch, which says a lot about how these are built.
The 3D chassis really does keep my foot from rolling on rocky descents, which is exactly what I bought them for. Two muddy weeks in and the upper still looks nearly new.
Wore these straight out of the box on a muddy 8-mile ridge loop and the grip never slipped once, even on wet rock. The waterproof membrane kept my feet bone dry through two stream crossings, which I honestly didn't expect.
