Wore these straight out of the box on a rocky river trail and the grip held up better than my old hiking shoes. They're noticeably lighter than my last pair of sandals, and they dried out completely within an hour after I splashed through a creek.
The break-in period was basically nonexistent—zero blisters after a 6-mile hike with a creek crossing, and the quick-drying upper was dry again by the time I got back to the car. The molded footbed hugs my arch without feeling squishy, and they're noticeably lighter than the old pair I retired.
