Tossed this in my daypack for a windy coastal hike and barely noticed the weight. The HC-Lite fabric blocks gusts way better than I expected for something this thin, and it stuffs down small enough to forget about until I need it.
The HC-Lite fabric has this waxed, slightly stiff feel at first but it softens up fast, and it blocks wind way better than I expected for something this thin. It packs down to about the size of my fist, so it lives in my hiking pack now.
The HC-Lite fabric really does block the wind without feeling clammy, and it crumples down to almost nothing in my bag. Only gripe is it has no hood, so on really gusty days my ears get cold.
