The hood actually stayed put in gusty rain instead of flapping around, which is rare. It packs down small enough to shove in my fishing vest, and I stayed bone dry through a two-hour downpour.

Wore this on a soggy hike last weekend and stayed completely dry the whole way. The low-profile cut is a nice change from my old bulky rain shell, and it didn't feel clammy even after an hour of climbing.

It kept me dry on a wet hike, so the waterproofing is legit, but the fit runs boxy and the fabric feels a bit stiff across the shoulders. It's fine for the price, just not the low-profile feel I was hoping for.
