We've had this jacket through two snow days already and the water-repellent side really holds up—snow brushes right off instead of soaking in. My kid loves that she can flip it to the high-pile fleece for school days when it's just chilly.

My daughter flips it to the fleece side on cold school mornings and wears the water-repellent side when it's drizzling, so it covers basically every day. The hood actually stays up in wind, which never happens with her other jackets.

The reversible fleece side is cozy and my daughter loves the deep hood, but the water-repellent shell feels pretty thin for real cold. Fine for school runs, not sure it'll hold up through an actual snowy winter.
